This project was for an existing screened porch, which the owners wanted converted into a heated sun porch. We were able to save the existing roof by keeping the existing size the same. All framing for the floor and walls was new. We saved some of the existing siding on the main house, and added new siding where needed. In addition, we insulated the roof and installed a new, knotty-pine, tongue-and-groove ceiling. A new yellow pine floor was installed to give it a rustic, country feel and brighter appearance. The exterior was finished with a flat panel look to accent the windows. The owners later planned a new stone patio and outdoor sitting area as an additional project.
